Swimming Pool
The best and most enviable facility of the NIT-K campus is its Olympic dimensional Swimming Pool.
The 50m X 25m pool, with a depth of around 17 feet at the deep end, is also equipped with diving boards of different heights.
The pool looks extremely clean and well maintained and cant wait to get myself in there already!!

Hostels And Hang Out Joints
NIT-K was started in the year 1960. So, as expected, the hostels do seem a bit old and out dated compared to its modern day contemporaries (like BITS-Goa) pretty obviously.
I feel that hostel life makes you a man, so living in harsh conditions isn't something to fuss about. Not that the NIT-K hostels serve as harsh conditions, but they certainly aren't the best.
I don't think anyone should have a problem living in these hostels after a months of adjustment.
There's also a small NCC building in the campus where shooting and other army activities are taught to those interested.

Badminton and Table Tennis
The NIT-K campus is blessed with 3 world class badminton courts and 3 TT tables for common use.
The pictures taken here make them seem a bit dusty because it is holiday season now and some kind of furniture/woodwork is being done in this complex. After cleaning, it must serve as an impeccable facility for badminton/TT enthusiasts.

Main Grounds, Cricket/Football
The grounds look wet and unmaintained but that's because of the 3-month long heavy rains of the Konkan coast. The main ground is usually turfed and maintained well, once the summer season begins.
The main ground has markings and posts for a football ground, and a pitch for cricket. I am unsure if the posts are removable, but I feel it must be. Either ways, but for the rains, the facility looks good to me. If regular maintenance is done as promised, it will prove to be a terrific facility.

Open Air Theater
Monthly movies are a very famous entertainment for the college students at NIT-K. The OAT at the campus plays host to the monthly films.
2 poles that can be seen on stage are used as support for the projector screen on movie nights!
Floodlit Basketball Courts
One of the special, and very famous areas of the NIT-K campus are the floodlit Basketball courts. From hosting inter/intra college tournaments to the famous midnight matches, these are one of the best Basketball facilities you can find in the south.
